Not the point, 2k can pick garbage, yet cool, looking plays.

But to award a mere 10k is an insult to the community. To say that they are doing us a favor with the highest ever award? Is sad.

They don't have to give out anything. Being featured on 2k TV is pretty cool in itself imo. Again, this won't affect pretty much everyone who owns the game. I don't see this as a big deal at all.

They don't have a monopoly. They don't own exclusivity to the NBA; anyone can make an NBA game if they desire. In fact this is the one sport where every developer is on an even playing field. It's a credit to the quality of the game that it's as dominant as it is, considering where they started and how they grew the videogame basketball market.

I'm surprised they reward anything myself. From what I've seen, the plays of the week only comprises a very small portion of the weekly 2KTV content - I thought people submitted plays more for bragging rights of having a good play shown, similar to a play being shown on ESPN's Top 10.

While 10K VC isn't exactly nothing, the original poster does have a point; the game is slowly edging itself into encouraging the purchase of VC. The fact that the free app has decreased its daily payouts is all the evidence you need of that. Let alone the fact we can't buy a single piece of decent gear in MyCareer for anything less than an entire game's salary

what's worse is I think a lot of posters here are MyLeague/GM guys and it doesn't affect them that much. If you're a longtime hardcore MyCareer player, however, you've definitely seen the trend
