People truly think 1v1 proves 'skill' in 2k

I simply laugh when you point out how trash someone is, and the first thing they want to say is 'PLAY ME ONE-ON-ONE!' People are really that delusional? Dribbling for 23 seconds to finally get a small hint of space makes you 'good'?

Can you move without the ball? No
Can you find the open areas of the court without the ball? No
Can you identify drive lanes and when to cut to the basket? No
Do you know how to set your teammates up with screens? No
Can you literally outwit an entire defense? No
Do you have any sort of court vision? No
Can you clog passing lanes? No
Can you play defense on-ball and off-ball? No
Can you defend the rim? No

Etc, etc. I guess people don't realize all of this is eliminated in a 1-on-1 setting. But yeah, you're good because you can dribble all day until the defender eventually makes a wrong guess. Alrighty.

I agree, unless you just lost a one on one and all this is said in anger.

Re: People truly think 1v1 proves 'skill' in 2k

This brings me back to the days of 10v10 Team Play (forgot the actual name of the mode) in FIFA 08 on the 360. Whenever my team would tune up another squad, it was always "play me one on one, son...play me one on one". We got cursed out in a myriad of languages too lol. Those were the good ol' days.

"play me one on one" is the credo of the scrub online.

Thanks for that shot of nostalgia. (I took it waaaay off-topic. My fault)

This is the mentality that kills the modes like Pro-Am and My Park. It's a bunch of egotistical showoffs. Nobody cares that your repeated size-ups trigger an ankle breaker animation... Move the ball, play defense and stop dribbling so damn much.

Lol as if it takes any skill to buy 20 dollars worth of VC, max out your player and slap on some cheesy dribble moves.

The MyPark community is a joke smh.

you should see the YouTube videos of all the mypark community members as well. Literally all the same thing between them. Rap Music intro followed by montages of dribble moves being spammed triggering the ankle breaker animation with the occasional "my niggaaaa" thrown in after each spoken sentence, click on their channels and its all videos on how to glitch 2k16 in order to make a demigod.
