Need expert advice. Directional passing broken? or just me.

I made this clip for momentum shift purposes. But I've never seen anyone post or say much about screens being set at the wrong place, or the ball not going to whoever it's intended to using directional pass. Am I doing something wrong? Can I prevent my screeners from setting the screen under the basket? (Screens start at :13 seconds.) Is there a way to more accurately expeditiously pass it to the person you're aiming at? (directional passing clip starts at 1:07) And yes I do have the setting on directional passing.

Does the circle underneath the player still signify who your passing it to once you change it to directional passing? I figured it didn't...even so, it's not as reliable as I would like it to be....

The screens under basket I have never seen....gotta be some kind of bug

Yes because that's the person you're aiming at with the right joystick. If it's by open-ness I figure it would pass to whoever is the most open near the direction you're aiming. And if it's directional, I would say it would pass to whoever you're aiming at ( White circle )

There's a default option too...

I figured that's where you would rely on the circle....seems like it would defeat the purpose of directional passing if that were the case...

I've tried each of the 3 settings all year, had trouble with each of them. Is there any-one that has had most success with default? Could it be that directional would prioritize perimeter passes? Don't think so as in the clip they skipped Mcdermott and passed it near the paint.

i can tell when i grab my other controller and start playing because the wonky "default" setting instantly becomes obvious. I can only play with "direction" as the passing modifier.

Directional passing is complete trash this year lol. I don't know what the hell they did to it.
