How do Sliders work?

Hey guys,

Sorry for opening this thread. But I have a pretty simple question and Google did not really help me with that issue.

If I raise the Foul-Sliders on 'User'.. does it means I will commit more fouls?
(That's what I think should be logical)

Or does it means that my team will draw more fouls?

I did not really notice a difference after testing it out, that's why I ask. Thanks in advance for your help!

In general: This game is incredible and besides the lack of free-throws for the CPU I am having so much fan with this game!!
