What is the point of Euro-Steps and Floaters this year?

Given that they are always either blocked (Eurostep) or just miss when wide open (floaters) what is the point of even attempting these more "advanced" moves rather than just pausing to jack a mid-range jumper or do a regular layup?

Last year they were a valid tool to use to mix things up but this year it just seems like the risk greatly outweighs the reward. Even with gold badges for both they are hugely unreliable.

Thoughts?

Floaters are good. I believe they are cool where they are. They miss and go in as well. For the CPU, they are OP though.

I am not sure about the success of the euros. As a 6' PG, I don't do them often as I don't have much success.

This is mostly in park and with players in MyTeam e.g Curry, Tony Parker etc.

Did we ever determine what stat governs the success of floaters? It's moving shot close right?

But yeah the Eurostep is next to useless more than the floater, floaters are just way unpredictable as there's no shot meter for them...

I've done really well with the eurostep . Floater has been nice as well. Neither can be abused tho

I played with the same guard for about 20 years and more than half of his floaters were making it so i'd say there's no issue on that move whatsoever

Re: What is the point of Euro-Steps and Floaters this year?

I make a ton of floaters in proam with only 3 bars on inside scoring so far, but I have the tear dropper badge to help. Euro steps are not successful for me at all even with king of euros badge. I feel they got blocked every time unless you're on a fast break that is the only ideal time for me to do it since most online players think you wanna slam every time and run n jump right past u as u slow down for the layup.
