Need a ready up screen during team up timeouts

In case anyone missed it, I am talking about team up only. Play Now's timeout system is fine, since its only the 2 of you, and Pro Am timeouts don't even matter since it just stops the game for like 3 seconds and then you continue


I'm talking about a screen during team up timeouts that lists everyones name on both teams, with some sort of display that tells players to press a button to indicate that they are "ready" to continue playing, as well as their current ready/unready status. Players can currently enter the "ready" status by pressing X (or whatever it is on Xbox) to close out the timeout menu where you would make your subs, but that isn't enough. The reason there should be a listing of all players and this ready/unready status is to promote the act of "readying up" so we can go back to playing as soon as possible.


Right now you just sit at the timeout screen, often for the whole length of the timeout, with no idea as to who is holding everything up. I feel like no one would want to essentially be called out by the game as the single person holding everything up, so they would be more inclined to press the button if they knew that everyone is waiting on them.


Also, please add an indicator that identifies who called the timeout in the first play. I'm not talking about commentary that says which team called it, I mean the specific person that called it. That will discourage nonsense timeout calls, as people might be shamed into acting right if they know that the game is about to put a message on the screen for everyone saying "this player called the timeout".

I agree. I only take timeouts to avoid something like a backcourt or a quick personal reason. But sometimes I feel people do it on purpose. Like it was me and 2 randoms vs 4 other players. They were killing us , they were up by 10!then all of a sudden, someone on the other team kept calling timeouts. They ended up getting technicals. And we won by like 5 because of the techs, it was funny but I would've been mad if that person was on my team.

All online mode's timeouts need work.

Pro-Am has a problem where someone will use up all the time outs (either in frustration, boredom, or just to grief).

Seems like you could fix this pretty easy by not letting the same person call a timeout 3 times in the span of 30 seconds or whatever.

Another fix for that would be if they told you which player called the timeout AND there was a majority votekick system for the players. Griefing/trolling is something 2k should look at addressing more in the team modes in general.

Voting would solve a ton of problems in most of the online modes.

You should be able to vote for:
-Kicking someone
-What position you want to play
-who guards who
-which court you want to play on (would need to give us more than just the 1 empty rec center gym)
