Is it just me or what...I feel like I am not controlling the players...

I play 2k every year, and I have to say I had the most fun in 2k11, then 2k14 was great too…but this year’s 2k, I don’t know, I feel like I am not controlling the players, meaning like I am unable to do what I am thinking on the court at all, I feel like the players are skating on ice, and I think there are way too many controls in the game, I cannot remember all the buttons and I don’t think I even need to do that, I can win in SUPERSTAR difficulty without knowing all the buttons (I do lose a lot in this level too)…so I just don’t think is needed…what do you guys think?

There are a lot of controls but at the same time i dont know how many of these controls could be removed. This is (supposed to be) a basketball sim. Basketball has a lot of complicated and basic moves in it and I dont think anything in 2k can really be removed and still have 2k be called a basketball sim.

I honestly feel that the controls are getting to the most intuitive point they have been at at least for a long time.

Now something I do wish they would remove is the flop button. I want to take a charge, not flop after my guy walks around me or stops driving and im stuck there with my pants down unable to play defense.

The lack of responsiveness when pushing the sticks/buttons is really bad. Guys pull off a move a second after you wanna make it. Very frustrating.

The amount of controls in this game is perfect. If they take any away they're severely limiting us in what we want to do on the court. Right now we can do almost anything we want. I'm sorry you can't remember all the buttons, but a majority of us use all of them every game we play.

No it's not you, it's the game. Responsiveness is awful to be generous, it feels like street figher after i press certain button combination i see reaction in game seconds away.

This game is really focused on its animations.

You basically have to make sure you go with what the animation is doing...

For example, if someone passes you the ball, you have to let your man finish the animation of catching the pass (or setting his feet/getting his rhythm) before you can shoot.

Things you can do to feel more in control:
- Lay off the L2 button as it gets you stuck in a lot of animations
- Turn OFF all of the Auto/Assist stuff (things like defensive assist, box out assist, shot contest, etc.)
- Experiment with the Prostick settings (using Absolute instead of Camera Relative or changing it to "Dribble Moves" only for offense)
- Avoid bumping into other player's "bubble" if you want to run through the lane, don't get close to other players or else you get sucked into their "bubble" and animations start happening.
