I'm pretty sure his team is ranked pretty high and the only stat high ranked teams care about is the W.

Not on a super high ranked team, but that's what people care about.

In context, They asked Popovich when he thought Kawhi became a "Great Player". Pops respinse: "I knew as soon as he realized that when I call his number for a play, the play is for THE SPURS to score, not for Kawhi to score".

Point being: 75 or 0, you should only care about what gets your team the W. If I have 12 assists, and 6 points, I basically resulted in 30 being scored
