Franchise quarter length – how long do you use?

I played an exhibition game on 12 minutes and it seemed really long. I'm thinking about maybe 9 minutes as a compromise. What do you guys use?

Do whatever one makes you have the most fun. 3, 9, 12...whatever one you use, it still isn't really REAL is it? 12 minute qtr games take 1hr30 mins. Yea. For a screen of numbers at the end, waste of life. In my opinion.

Does anyone use the sim quarter feature in MyGM? So for example if you play 6 minute games, and use 12 minute sim, it basically doubles the stats you got in 6 minutes.

I use 12 mins, but put the game speed on 55.

It's funny when I first decided to play 12 minutes years ago I thought it was going to be really long. But I've never actually felt that way. I guess I never get bored so it never feels like it's too long.

12 minutes per quarter
It takes long, but it makes wins feel more satisfying - and losses a lot more frustrating.

Using 12mins, I get mostly realistic results, but I feel that ORebs, Steals + Turnovers could be higher. They look o.k. for an individual game but the season averages tend to be too low in those categories, especially turnovers.
