Jump shot and release form (please help)

Editing Allen Iversons jump shot as ive read the closest possible is Release 51.

Just wondering though when you go into the players signature are the jump shot form and release supposed to be the same? So for example Iverson would be Jump Shot form 51 and release 51. Is that correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Both should be 51. AI's shot is release 51. In MyCareer so that translates to release and form 51 in the player edit menu.

If that was the case, then why are there a different amount of bases and releases?

Shooting Forms: 7 high school + 125 releases = 132.
Shot Bases: 7 high school + 79 jump shots + 22 set shots = 108.

Some of the very distinct bases like "Jump Shot 2" you can easily find in MyCareer to prove it wrong as well. The Jump Shot 2 base offline goes with Release 8 to make the Release 8 that you find in MyCareer.

Jump Shot 8 base goes with Release 51 to make Release 51 in MyCareer.

Jump Shot 9 with Release 73.

Jump Shot 24 with Release 80.
