Offensive speed boost on loose balls ?

Those plus I've seen the cpu off ball on offense cut through the paint and just sort of slide super fast across the court and even on pick and rolls look at how fast the cpu just slides so fast right into perfect position for the screen.

What the cpu can do with these speed boosts and the way they aren't limited by the animations like we are just makes the cpu feel rather cheap to me.

I think who gets the ball and what animations play out it tied directly to hustle. So it's not about whose closest so much as who has a higher hustle attribute. A common problem with this system that absolutely kills me is when you have some guy standing over the ball taking forever to pick it up like a geriatric with severe back problems when another player comes sliding from out of nowhere like the silver surfer to pick up the ball.
