A possible idea for a Pro-Am/Crew blend

Instead of being like 2k11 and having a Pro-Am team choose a base team that can be used as subs, why not simply enable the user to create a second character linked to their first one, and cap the second character at about 70-75 to give them a bench player? Let the main character cap at 100 attribute points (if we have to get the bucket system back), but make the linked bench character cap at 50 attribute points? That way, the bench player is forced to stick with a definite style, and be much weaker in the other areas?

I don't like the idea of having a 'base team', because everyone would use the Cavs, Warriors, Spurs, Thunder, or Clippers.

That's a cool idea. But I would rather have the base team roster but this wouldn't be a bad second option. Much better than no bench at all.
