As the poster above stated, clearly NBA 2K20 is the best game in the series thus far.

In order:

1. NBA 2K20
Fluid player movement and control on offense and defense, good animations, less overall cheese (see: cement sticky footed players in previous years). Worst complaints are overpowered badges and unrealistic green-shots.
2. NBA 2K16
Jordan edition was overall amazing. Single archetypes flourished. Good days of Flyers, Ballers, and RIVET CITY!! Jordan MyCourt was an all-time 2K moment.
3. NBA 2K17
This was the dream team edition I believe. I don’t recall much else worth noting.
4. NBA 2K18
I had a pure defender PF and the defense was incredibly weak this year. Obviously, this lead to NBA 2K19’s insanely overpowered defense—which has certainly trickled down into NBA 2K20. My Russell Westbrook PG caught plenty of bodies. Baseline cheese was in this year.
5. NBA 2K15
We were just happy to get the Jordan Rec Center back. Terrible builds—100% demigods.

Can people who love the 2k20 the most give me sliders to test because I cannot find any that would be really challenging, and don't tell me I am too good because I recently tried 2k14 and it was really tough. While 2k20 is in some aspects the most advanced and developed game some simple stuff is poorly done. CPU's driving to the hoop at all costs, just attack the rim like your life depends on it. On defensive end, they are just not smart enough, team defense/help defense must be better, number one priority is too prevent easy buckets, but it's too easy to get layups against any difficulty, especially on the fast break.


Pick and pop and roll defense could be better as well. And cpu greening shots, don't even mention it.


I would rate them in the following order.


NBA 2K16
NBA 2K19

NBA 2K14
NBA 2K20
NBA 2K15
NBA 2K18

If forced for one answer, it'd be 2k16. Played that for nearly 4 years straight.
