created player speed

I created my own personal player w/ all 99 attribute. For some reason, when I put my player on a team, his speed went down to 65 as well as a few other attributes in GM mode.

Is there something i'm missing here? I'm not talking about the Myplayer, but the created player in the edit section.

Yeah I don't know if this is a glitch but I have a created player with his speed attribute maxed out at 99, but when he leads the fastbreak the AI players with significantly less speed ratings get in front of him and cut him off. Frustrating.
