Limited 2k17 News: Concerned or Patient?

2K lied to us several times last year in the first trailer anyways.

We were promised footplanting - false.

We were promised smarter AI - the ACE debacle was HILARIOUS in the beginning of last year and even then was only marginally improved throughout the year. A Good start, but definitely a ball drop on that account.

We were promised Signature Size Ups - LOOOOL! This is probably the most hilarious thing they did all year. Size-ups were introduced and were mostly very clunky and severely ineffective, save a few (kobe, curry, crawford, paul) and after everyone found out that said size-ups were over powered, they dumb them down instead of beefing up the other ineffective ones to promote diversity rather than hand cuffing everyone simultaneously.

And IMPROVED DEFENSE!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL

Biggest crock of **** all year. They just upped the warping and morphing animations effectiveness. So you can run into someone without actually trying to play defense. You can literally hound every ball handler regardless who you're using to defend with.

I remember a correlation between the hype around the game and how bad it was in the end.

2k12 was hyped without end and the game wasn't that good in the end.

I pretty much decided to wait till mid August to look for news. Even then half of it will be:

New animations
Controller remap painted as new controls
"We've eliminated last year's cheese"
New MyCareer story
MyTeam retool
A d-league

2k does surprise me with a few things. However, after the Pro-Am not working for the first month or so and the defense not working as promised (among other things) I don't know if I'll preorder.
