Thoughts on gauntlet mode for 2K17

Gauntlet mode was a great idea, and I played it a lot at the beginning of 2K16. Until I realized it was basically pointless. Unlike domination mode, (which I earned a lot of great players in) gauntlet mode is a waste of time.

Gauntlet is fun, but after you realize your best bet is earning a Clyde drexler card, it's pointless.

For 2K17, I hope they make gauntlet more rewarding.

They need to allow players some basic "strategy controls" such as ability to assign defensive matchups and adjust defensive tightness for on- and off-ball defense.

And they should have additional reward boards, which they supposedly were going to have for 2K16 but abandoned.

I don't know why you thought Gauntlet was a waste of time if you though Domination was worthwhile. In terms of getting stuff that is both useful and sellable, Gauntlet is a good value, relative to the time it takes to play a game. Rewards one gets on the Gold and the 2nd Amethyst board can have considerable value.

Gauntlet is mad fun. I like it. I just wish it was more Simulation than Arcade-like (ie 3s fall way too much). I also wish we could challenge friends in Unranked Gauntlet, and maybe even slider adjustments (in all of MyTeam this is needed).

I'd love to see a blacktop online mode. From 1v1 to 5v5 and let us pick the players even play with friends each one controlling a player. No need to win any MT or cards from it, just for the fun.
