i honestly think this year's dribbling was better....but when they removed the first step(or turbo smh) it made dribbling even worse. that speed advantage was the best thing about using size-ups. break a guy down and blow by him. a big rotate out on Kyrie, and you make a move and get by him. Now that the first step is gone(bc 2K chose to cater to the loud, unknowledgeable fan-base instead of sticking to their guns and maybe putting together a tutorial on why its in the game), dribbling is just pain-staking. and i have a strange suspicion that it wont be in 2k17 either.

I see what you're saying: it was more the mechanics of the dribbling system than the looks? Ya in that case YouTube wouldn't capture the difference but I was wondering if there even was a noticeable difference in how the dribbling played out.

Of course now we have the live ball mechanics which I appreciate to an extent. We have the sizeups which I also appreciate. I'm comfortable with the controls.. not a master but I'm able to be savvy in my own right. I would be content with this current system being refined with better responsiveness, more explosiveness, and more effectiveness but I will acknowledge that part of that success is for us to discover.

Right now as a My Career and My PARK Player, there are a handful of dribbles that are just not effective for setting up a drive or a dribble pull up or stringing together chain moves. That's where I'd like to see improvements so 99% of the community are not using 5% of the dribbling moves available to them.

I personally recently discovered how effective the Durant layup package and Durant sizeup can be and that's part of the discovery process.

2k15 was smoother, the response time kept up with people that had fast fingers and better basketball/control IQ. This year it's all about, pressing 2 buttons for a sizeup repeatedly until the ankle is broken. Hesitations were broken, between the legs were broken, dribble slash and pass was broken with broken lead passing. I don't know what they were thinking but I hope it gets fixed again.

Both games have hesitation 3, the most unrealistic and exploited move in the 2k series.

I don't expect much improvement to be honest.

2K16

Why...because I'm used to it.

I don't enjoy the dribbling that much anymore because the animations never really match the players well. I wish they'd go back to signature dribbling instead of these packages.

Not sure if I played NBA Live 10, but the dribbling looked very good. It looked like there was a flow to every dribble and the moves branched well. https://youtu.be/hZZx26VLpLQ

In 2K14-2K16 due to how the animations are cut and what package the player has using manual dribbling doesn't always look good. It's hard to get a flow because of how some animations end, so just doing a simple between the legs depending on what dribble package could look awkward. Even simpler things like switching hands looks weird.
