Shooting success dependent on score of the game?

I'm trying to figure out the coding in the game, specifically where you start to see the shot success rate being altered. I've noticed throughout the year that if you're down BIG (by 10 or more), you'll get nearly anything you chunk at the basket to fall. If it's a moderately close game (either team up or down by 5 or less), the shot success is set to a more realistic %. If you're up BIG (10 or more), any jump shot you shoot, regardless of openness, is almost guaranteed to miss.

I don't comment on inside shot success, because I don't think it pertains to this.

Not a rant of anything being rigged, so don't think I'm asking for heat lol, but it's clear as day the shooting success is dependent on the score differential of the game. Just wanted to know what you guys think.

Yep. Up big, open shots refuse to fall. I've even missed wide open A+ midrange shots with perfect releases. It's frustrating for sure

You got a point in the park if you have someone down by 8 or more you start to miss big time they will come back no matter how good your defense is on them

In Park the team being dominated and in a scoring slump can suddenly start swishing contested fades from 3 and nailing half court shots lol it becomes predictable but tolerable when you understand it is what it is and you pretty much still have a good 90-99% chance of finishing them off but they will go from 0 to 100 real quick

Only time this type of stuff is noticeable to me is like in MyCareer I'm down in the 4th. Seems like the 3s be a lot easier to hit.
