Unfortunately true.

I maintain the one consolation in this is that NBA 2K outsells Madden despite the fact that the NFL's value in Billions is essentially double of the NBA's.

Football is still America's #1 spectator sport and even within the states 2K outsells Madden.

I started playing NBA 2K6 just this past week for the first time. It is a good game even today. The bad part about older games is getting questions answered since gamers have moved on and forums are hard to find with folks who still play them. For instance, I have not been able to figure out how to consistently hit free throws in 2K6.
