Re: NBA 2K17 Trailer - Friction
Why do you have to have "blinders" on if you are happy with the game?
You can dislike aspects of the game and that can be valid. Why cant someone validly like those aspect of the game? I loved 2k16 and many of the issues I see people complaining about either dont effect me or are ones I dont agree with. That doesnt mean that I'm blind to any flaws in the game.
I have no problem with what anyone likes about the game, i'm only stating my dislikes. I never asked or told anyone not to like the game visually or gameplay wise.
I liked a few things about the trailer, but my dislikes outweighed them.Last edited by ForeverVersatile; 08-23-2016, 11:17 AM.PSN: ForeverVersatile

Both answers are fine. I think it's unfair to assume it's because we have "blinders" on.Comment

Versatile is a grumpy dude, but he is a good guy. He does spend alot of time playing the game and makes valid complaints most of the time. 2k is a very good game that can irritate us all. We just all express it differently, no right or wrong way.Psn: Alabamarob

There are extremes on both sides of it and I think we're on the same page.Comment

Im the only one that mentioned 'what the thread is turning into'....only referencing the unecessary back and forth....Its ok to quote me, lol . I would do the same but I'm on mobile OS right now.
I also said this earlier:
It all comes down to respecting the next guy's interests...
I have never and will never care about a dudes traps and leg thickness in a basketball video game... if the next man does, rock on....
but dont tell some one theyre wrong for thinking the models look good.Last edited by The 24th Letter; 08-23-2016, 12:10 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Trailer - Friction
Oh there's definitely a wrong way. Everything doesn't have to have a on the fence, don't rock the boat answer. Some people are just flat out wrong how they go about expressing their frustrations with this (and pretty much everything on earth from movies to shows to books) game. It's okay to call people out for that and tell them they're wrong. You can have your opinion and express it without being a jerk about it.

I mean I see flaws in the game but in my opinion every game has those. Like I saw someone say its just a video game [emoji23]! I'm only 28 but maybe it's just I can remember playing my dad's Atari and almost every console afterwards so in my mind we've came a long way!

Re: NBA 2K17 Trailer - Friction
Looks like everything is being rushed again. They should put out a whole new release every two years and stay updating/fixing the current game in the meantime. Right now what's happening is they rush out an unfinished/untested product, fix some of the major issues but basically set it aside to rush into the next release which will have problems, rinse and repeat...
The game looks okay but until I see a commitment to the game after it's released I'm not buying it, not signing up for any more headaches.Comment

Fulfill their agreement with the NBA and release a game that is the 2nd most popular sports game in the world. A game that even with its flaws most people love.
or
Release a game every two years, significantly reduce 2k's revenue and piss off consumers who like the game coming out every year...just so they can fix some issues that hardcore fans have with the game.
Hmm?
Also, I hate how often people use the word "unfinished" at OS. A game can be finished and still have bugs. Just because a game has bugs or doesnt have every feature you want doesnt make it unfinished.Comment

i read every single comment and reply... and i honestly can't disagree with most of the logical pros or cons mentioned. 2K set the bar somewhere in space (Gawds ankles?) so it isn't illogical to expect the best from "the best" at basketball sim creators. one comment i saw stated what i thought while reading all of this. maybe they cut corners in some places to enhance or create in other ways. anyway, this is my once a year opinion.A Man Chooses; A Slave ObeysComment
