Re: Any news on NBA historic teams?

Not to be a downer, but I think we can assume that no teams were added this year. Last year, they promoted them well by releasing them in a staggered fashion and this year it's been crickets about classic teams. Unless it is still too early?

I have to say, I really do appreciate that the game has worked in more and more teams over the years. I like to use those classic players in MyLeague and adds a lot of enjoyment to the game.

But on the other end, to have a BUNCH of added legends and then make them only available in MyTeam is a major bummer...

I may regret saying this, but if they even had those MyTeam legends available for an additional $20-$25 via DLC, I would drop the cash instantly.

That kicks trailer also showed black and white broadcast for classic game from 70's. Hoping that makes a return and not just video editing for the trailer. Era specific broadcast was beautiful last 2k when it was implemented

Please please let this be true. I loved it in 2k12 and I would love it even more now.

That said, I'd still really, really like if the classics that are included would receive a 2K12 tune-up, where all the signature moves, customs sounds, and accurate jersey textures returned to the fold.

The good news is we've seen some face improvements here or there.

The bad news is, the improvements appear to be only here or there. On one hand, Steve Kerr looks like he's finally weened himself off the crack pipe, but on the other hand, the jury's still out on a guy like Michael Jordan, who's supposedly kind of a big deal.

The big help would be expanded roster creation options, 2KShare flexibility, downloading individual players, etc. It sucks that portions of the classics suck, especially in realms 2K nailed years ago, but at least we're still looking at, like, 40 classic teams on disk.

Edit: The Shoes video just released appeared to show the return of era-specific filters, short shorts, and the addition of a lot of classic shoes (legit Chuck Taylors, Reebok Pumps). I know we always want more, but those things are absolutely welcomed additions.
That update to Kerr has me optimistic. Would love to see more comparison shots come out. Hopefully AI looks better this year, simply changing his hair color black would be a big upgrade.

I keep seeing people say things like "short shorts are returning" after seeing the latest trailer. Can someone help me understand what that means? All classic teams had short shorts last year so I'm confused.

I read that there was no improvements from someone who watched the streamer that leaked footage. VC still looks odd and T-Mac is still the older version.
