Have they also talked about the maxed height for this game or is it still 7'3?
It will probably be different - it may mean you could be very weak on things like defense and rebounding compared to other bigs. In 2k16 there was hardly any difference in rebounding and defense for bigs even with such builds. Doesn't seem to be the case in 17. Don't quote me on this but i heard 7'7.

I'm pretty sure they took that badge out of the game, haven't seen it anywhere in any of the leaked vids

Edit: maxed height is still 7'3

In 2k16 its as he said as well - maxed rebounding for a SF wasn't the same as a big. It's a pretty accurate assumption. If its not like that it would be a change and very stupid. Unless the weaknesses balance it out.

Cap wise from the video, stretch big fills up around halfway with rebounding bars and 10 from being maxed out in defense. So basically, around middle of the road which compared to a glass cleaner, I fully expect that even if they're taller, the rebounding stats will help make that feel fair, that's my hope at least.

That's why that's not really for me. Being a Pro-Am player, I know the rest of my team is going to focus on scoring and being able to hit 3's. My archetype choices are between glass cleaner and rim protector. I'm leaning towards glass cleaner because you still have a decent amount of defense and if you know how to play defense, you never need to be maxed out with it. It's tough having to choose this year along with the upgradeable badge system (which I do like even if it is tough) but I like that thought has to be into how you're going to benefit those around you too and your team if you're an online player.

Damn. Leaning towards sharpshooter and seeing if my stick skills can carry me to decent slashing game.

Looks like I'll be going going Shot Creator or Slasher for my PG/SG this year. Lockdown Defender and Playmaker for my PG are appealing, too.

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

Well - these are my opinions on how the stat caps might go.

It would of course vary by position/archetype etc. But generally.

Out of 25.

From 1 to 5 = 50 to 60

From 5 to 10= 60 to 70

From 10 to 15= 70 to 80

From 15 to 20= 80 to 90

From 20 to 25= 90 - 99

It seems the most likely to be something like that - but it depends where it starts - if it starts around the 40s instead of 50s. And of course it may depend if the stats go fully to 99 - or if they end at around 95 or something.

If this is the case - most builds have=

Rookie tier = usually 2 categories or less around 5/9 out of 25 - maxed aaround the 60s potentially reaching 70.

Pro tier = Usually around 3 or 4 categories around 10/18 - maxed around high 70s to 80s,

Elite tier= Usually 2 or 3 categories around 20/25 - maxed around high 90s. If anything else high 80s.

Depending on the gameplay difference between 80s vs 90s = the balance of the builds will be determined. In other words the pro tier might be the most important to differeriante builds and how effective they are. The plus of every archetype are obvious and justified - the balance between weaknesses of each of them will be what determines if this will work properly or not.
