That's what we did last year. But as far as I see it, that's not something we should have to do. Just a simple description box about what each attribute and tendency mean would go a long way to clearing up some confusion we have. They had this on one of the last-gen titles and it meant a whole lot for roster creators like myself. For years, people thought Offensive Awareness meant how well a player performs within the team offense, when really want it meant was how well a player responds to double teams. We knew that thanks to the description the designers gave us.

People out there still don't really know what Passing Vision vs. IQ vs. Accuracy mean. It's all just guesswork based on the name. Off Dribble, Open, and Contested are going to cause similar confusion. Example: Contested? How contested, 2ft, 3ft?

I might be alone on this opinion. But this is one of those baby crying threads that need to be closed. Triple C answered the OP.

If I was a Dev I would stay far away from these threads. That's how the green release started smh

Re: So what exactly entails shoot off dribble?

It was answered in the 2k livestream today. Ogallager said it is moving shots. He said even dribbling standing still is not sod in 17. Said it during end of raps v. Pacers game.

Would it apply for layups? I'm having a hard time understanding why a slasher would have a high shot off dribble, but low shooting attributes in general.

I hope thats true. Utilizing a screen and moving laterally around the three point arc before shooting should not constitute as off dribble

It could... It would depend on the orientation of the shot and if the feet are set or not.

Stopping on a dime isn't off the dribble. As long as you make sure your feet are set it will count as stand still.

Best way to think of off the dribble is shooting when your feet aren't set tbh.
