Obviously the game didn't come out yet, and there will be patches. But so far from what I see, it definitely has the potential, especially if 2k is more lenient on patches.

You're coming at it from an online match perspective. If that's the case, ALL games have exploits in that respect.
Overall, 2k11 was an incredible game and widely viewed as the best in the series so far. (Arguably)-----------------------------------------

2k11 was the best for sure, i don't know why too, a lot of people feel this way as well, is so long ago i really forgot the details now, but i rmb i played 5 years of association in it and was enjoying every single game...but so far, 2k16 is also very very fun, i actually didn't start playing it until lately so i am still in my first year of associationComment

For me it wouldnt take much to be better than NBA2k11, since Id say NBA2k16 was the best of the bunch overall. NBA2k11 did a lot of good things, but anyone who played Association mode knows that it was trash, with simulated stats being F'ed up majorly.
Just going by the Prelude and watching Ronnie and Chris play that 17 looks like it could be the best yet. The only thing that worries me is with such a short dev cycle this yr, that the game might be full of bugs/glitches, as I see that being the only thing that could ruin this game this yr.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Problem is, it's a valid move in any ballers skill set - because of cheesers, they nerf or remove it completely every year which kills it for those of us who actually use it conservatively.
They should be able to tweak things online without it ruining the experience for offline players.-----------------------------------------

Nba 2k11 wasn't just an overall amazing game, but also was a giant leap forward from before. Not sure if anything can match THAT.

The only thing that i can say about 2k11 is when you are playing with the classic bulls, and P.Jackson was furious against the referee, or against the way you play it was just extraordinary!!

but of course a lot of things have to be improved for example a bigger size court, or some triangle, and nothing has been done in my opinion with next gen, it would have been totally crazy to loose my ps3 and 2k11 for a ps4 with 2k16 or 2k17!!
