Is the Legend Gold edition worth it?

Hi,

I was just wondering if the NBA 2K17 Legend Gold Edition is worth the extra money. For me in Europe it costs 109.99€, the normal Legend Edition costs 89.99€. The only difference seems to be that you get 100k VC in the gold and only 35k in the non-gold version. That's additional 20€ for 65k VC more. Now, in 2K16 for 20€ you could purchase 75k VC. So if 2K keeps the prices for VC in 2k17, what they usually do, then I could get 10k more VC in the non-gold version for the same price by buying 75k separately.

Correct me if I'm wrong. What version did you pre-order?

I think the gold legend edition also includes the entire kobe shoe collection, whereas the legend edition only has one pair of shoes. I don't know how much they sell individually from the store, but it saves you the VC from buying them I guess.

Id say it depends on what modes you play. If your a online guys with MyPlayer and have the money then going Gold is probably worth it. I only play MyLeague so even if I had the extra money for the gold version I wouldnt have gotten it, because I dont need VC.

I think you got it wrong, it's about whether or not you can actually get more VC out of the legend edition plus buying VC for 20€ instead of buying the legend gold edition.

This.

If you're an offline guy, the Legend and gold editions are pointless as they only really cater for the online crowd and those who care about VC.

If you're into all the fantasy modes and online stuff, it's probably worth purchasing.

Already tried to explain: I want the most VC out of it. So for me it's either buying the legend or the gold legend edition. It seems like you could get more VC if you bought the legend edition and then buy VC for 20 bucks, which would be 110k VC. In the gold legend edition you get 100k VC and pay the same price. At least this is my understanding.

If I have to pay more just for more Kobe shoes, then I guess normal legend edition would be completely enough.

The shoes alone make up for that gap of VC as most pairs are around 800-1000VC alone, plus the extra my team cards won't hurt and that poster doe!
