This 'be the coach' menu got me all messed up

What was 2k thinking with the interface of this menu. Every in-game menu for that matter. Playcalling is horrible. On-the-fly adjustments? Lemme use 17 buttons like I'm about to enter a Super Mario cheat code.

Is there any way to quickly switch from my starting lineup to my subs and vice verse when in timeout mode? This menu got me flashbacks to 2k11...LMAO

What's y'all views on this new menu?

It's confusing for me too, but i reckon it'll make sense once we understand it. And i'm pretty sure Czar will do a video on it if he hasn't already. Don't freak out

From what little time I've had with the game this is my biggest gripe. Why can't we go back to 2 years ago when I could select the player and click over to get the sub? Now we have the triggers involved and the right stick and I still can't tell if the sub was made successfully. Its very frustrating.

The timeout menu is terrible. Everything is all clunked together and takes too long to get to where you want to get to. Last year was so much simpler. Everything was divided into separate menus for subs, POEs, team comparison, defensive matchups, settings and scouting reports. I think the worst part though is the fact that platoon subs don't work until the next dead ball. So basically you have to do all your substitutions before you get into the timeout or else you'll just waste it.

EDIT: I also don't see why you can't edit your defensive/offensive gameplan before the match starts. It's just so annoying trying to navigate all those clunky menus during a possession.

Which is great and all, but i still think it is pretty weird from 2K to make such changes and there´s no explanation whatsoever in the game.

Man, this almost cost me a game
I called a timeout to get my free throw lineup in and nobody was subbed. Had to call another timeout. They need to patch that up real quick.
