Draft Class "Storylines" , what are they ?

When creating a draft class or when importing one in Myleague/MyGM the games asks if there should be storylines created for it. However, i did not really notice anything about this or found info in the scouting tab or sth. Is it a feature that was to be added ? A fancy name for "randomization" to add some challenge for people who play with draft classes they created/"know" ?

My understanding is that throughout the season the rookies will fluctuate on ratings and attributes to add some variety to drafts. If you turn it off then the ratings put in will never change

What I want to know is if enabling it creates the exact same system as last year, where there was too much randomization where stats didn't really make sense. You'd get guys with a moving 3pt rating 15 points higher than their standing rating, while their standing mid would be similarly much higher than their moving.

I love the option to throw randomization into the mix, but it still has to make some sense.
