I've actually really enjoyed the amount of fouls being called so far. Maybe I just haven't run into many people good at spamming steal yet -- and I get the point and would agree that steal spamming should not be okay and agree with that -- but I'm getting lots of fouls by initiating contact etc. where I wouldn't have last year.

This probably explains the different experiences. I finally ran into one of these incompetent players that you guys run into lol. I Had 20 ft's off mainly reach in fouls. Guy was reaching in even when I was in the protected stance

This has been rare in my experience. From what I've seen, just don't make blatantly terrible reaches and you'll get away with it

Its absolutely absurd how often steal attempts and bumping make you lose your dribble or lose control as an offensive player. I think they should increase the foul rate on steal attempts and not force the offensive players to stop.

Naw you'll just have to weigh the risk vs the rewards...as it should be. I can tell you for sure i'll still do them. Anyone else noticed how often "smalls" get whistled for fouls on blocks vs bigs? There a HUGE difference...which is good. Here's the thing: someone gets a Offensive Rebound in the paint and tries to go back up, you hitting block even if you have a SF? Hell yeah you are.

Guys with high steal ratings will be more successful but still you'll have to consider if you want to swipe at the ball or not.

Balance is good. Hell its great....its necessary too.
