2k helping bad park players is bad for game

Longtime 2k player here. As usual the game is a step up in most if not all aspects each year, except for one. The park. The park is worse than its ever been. Hopefully 2k takes a look at what I recall them saying was a help mechanic. Due to the more *skill* required aspects of the game, they said that the game would still *help* lower skilled people pick up and compete with the more skilled players. This is a huge problem and is making the game unplayable at the park level.

A player who is a SG slasher with 35 3 point rating and 50 defense and 30 rebounding and 0 badges should not go 3 for 3 on contested 3 pointers and have 7 rebounds on a PF whose defense and rebounds are in the 90s. Also 35 speed centers are staying with and running down 90 speed players. I play with lots of players and have talked to more who are seeing these same things happen on a regular basis. You can clearly see the animation system kick in to pretty much play the game for these players and keep the game close with them usually winning a close game at the end.

This is horrible and it is not fun at all. I urge other players to speak up on this issue and hope 2k tones this secret A.I. to stop this madness so that we may enjoy the game again.

MyPark is terrible, I honestly don't know how anyone can get any enjoyment out of that playstyle. It's like NBA Jam with sliders rather than an actual re-creation of street ball.

Park is on super low difficulty so hitting 3s is possible.

I think it's pretty obvious when people are high rated that they are considerably better. I originally thought that you meant rewarding bad ball... haha, but if you were one of the low rated guys, you would see how perfect you have to be against people who are high rated.

Edit: The end to end speed of centers is slow ( I have one) but for some reason, 2k has this speed boost for breaks that happens, and when that kicks in, you can really chase people down and even get ahead of them for a dunk as a 28 speed guy.

I honestly have no idea what you're saying. Um, I am saying they are rewarding bad players.
Let me clarify a bit, I'm actually one of the top 100 rivet players at the time of this posting, and was also a high rated player last year.

I assure you I know what I am talking about and have hundreds of videos over the course of two years of playing park, that show exactly the nonsense I am referring to. Also, I don't recall the dev who mentioned the game actually helping people who don't know how to play the game, but it happened, the article was here on this very site.

Yeah, myPark is not what I thought it would be. I always feel as though I could go in with a 50 overall player and compete. Like some NBA Street type.

me and my 2 friends did a 3 hour park run and LOL @ the BS we saw.

MY friend, who has been for the last 2 2ks been the best non cheesy center i played with, was getting bs'd like crazy on the boards. he made a 7'1 center and he reported that either cause he has no badges or that he not 7'3, rebounds were literally being magnetically pulled to his opponent despite everything he did.

as for the shooting. i find it funny as hell that my shooting is maxed at a 61 3 ball and i can make my 3s at a good rate if left open, more so from the corner since i have corner specialist now (LMAO) its like ratings really dont matter as much this year like it did last year.
