Re: If I Miss ONE MORE Layup......
No. I can't make contact layups around 1 person. If it's not a dunk my slasher is incapable. I'm definitely making more contact layups with my shot creator who has Bronze relentless finisher than my purple badged out Slasher"I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." - Thomas Jefferson

It could be attack angle, Strength raring, or a bunch of things as far as you not finishing. But at 6'5, 200lbs, I feel like miniature lebron on the way to the rack. Post some videos, I'm sure we can all figure out how to helpFemale Russell Westbrook.

6'4 Slasher SG. Yes I was put at SF for the game. Yes I do have a low grade. Yes these are all from the same game. Yes we did get blew out. The 2 and 4 gave up 37 points each before leaving the game in the 4th.
Yes, I know I can do better. I'm just providing examples of what I'm getting when I approach the rim.

My strength is very low, but I was considering putting my bonus attributes into it - just trying to figure out if its going to help me with layups or not.Comment

Re: If I Miss ONE MORE Layup......
I can barely dunk on anybody with Athletic finisher lately . Every contact dunk is missed . I think it's the strength factor.Last edited by Rockie_Fresh88; 12-04-2016, 08:49 AM.#1 Laker fan

2. Was just a random miss. Not your fault, not the defenses fault. You don't make everything.
3. Standing Lay Up should have drawn a foul. His arm hits your arm on the way up. That's more than likely the key to that.
4. You made this, So...not sure why it's included.
2 things: Consider Strength match ups during this. If I go into a lay up, they get a solid contest, but are way stronger it will influence a miss.
Help Defense will take into account both defenders, So in situations like 1, you may miss.
Honestly I miss a lot of Lay Ups I think I should make, and make a lot of one's I should miss.
Another thing, Turn the shot meter off. It doesn't help at all. 9 times out of 10 it's better to organically release the lay up than time a meter that's off already anyway

Re: If I Miss ONE MORE Layup......
Also, I have maxed out my strength and notice no difference.
I call myself the athletic finisher that can't finish. While our 6'3" SS PG calls himself Baby Shaq because he can always score in traffic.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still able to score effectively and efficiently, I just can't do it as an athletic finisher. I'm forced to rely on jump shots and fast break scores.Last edited by awg811; 12-04-2016, 08:18 AM.Comment

Re: If I Miss ONE MORE Layup......
Just read Via one of the Devs twitter that strength does not affect contact dunk. It only affects body ups, post ups, box outs , off ball contact etc..#1 Laker fan

Re: If I Miss ONE MORE Layup......
So quickly here's my 2 cents: First one missed due to help D. There wasn't much momentum going into the lay up initially, and if either of those guys had high Strength that makes sense.

I see what you're saying about the strength but mine is two bars from being maxed out. and I included that last one because it was a F grade bad release but was somehow good, this game is hilarious.
As far as the shot meter goes we tried organically releasing layups without the meter and were told that the release point was different. I'll give it a shot though.
Idk man. I grinded that shot creator out over Fall break and I've almost found a new home."I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." - Thomas Jefferson

I watch other archetypes make layups and dunks with ease, yet as a 6'10" Athletic Finisher, that is supposed to excel at layups and dunks, I miss them more than any other archetype.
The turn off the shot meter and feedback doesn't correct or fix the problem in any way! All it does is remove the info you need to know that its broken!
If the meter is off or on, I'll still miss the layup that I should be making more than any other archetype.
I don't use the meter for timing, only for feedback. And that feedback lets me know that this is yet another broken aspect of an extremely flawed game.Comment
