The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Why is it so damn hard to make shots within 2 feet? I am losing games by missing shots you should make. Of course the AI never misses layups or contact shots.

Practice layups in freestyle. Release is when your feets leave the ground not when the ball leaves your hands. If you really do miss layups within two feets, you're doing something wrong or they are contested or both. I really dislike theses kind of threads. If you miss them most likely it's your fault not the game's fault. They are timed this year, just practice them in freestyle for a while.
If you don't change the way you play you'll keep missing them.
I hope timed layups are here to stay. It's a great addition. It might needs some tweaking, probably does but the idea is great. More control, less watching.

Because they are timed like shots now. You could be a terrible lay upper right now. I had to practice to get it down.
Also, you gotta make sure that you use the left stick(if you use button for layups) or right stick(if you use the stick for layups) to aim away from the contact.

Yeah if you do south est/west with the stick you'll get evade layups. The release is usually longer and it helps to evade contact.
Yes! This guy can't make lay ups! We need a patch! Ace doesn't work! Patch! Can't see fouls online! Need patch that screws also offline! Patch patch patch
Please! They have put sliders in order to modify the game according to your skills... Why need to bother with those useless threads

It's not a useless thread. What if he was playing in My Career where you cannot change sliders....

So we can make coaching adjustments using sliders in play now online?
What difficulty level do you play on? I play on all-star in both play now and mycareer and I've never had a problem with missing layups as long as they weren't heavily contested
What do you want then ? If you use the meter and can't make layups within two feets that's on you man so what's the point of the thread again ?
As a 6'7 slasher with 5 HOF badges and 94 driving layup I get F's on damn near perfectly timed layups on a fast break or on a significantly smaller defender. There is a real problem. Its not as simple as get gud and time it right.
