I think I saw turty create a thread about this. He mentioned that players with higher intangibles are more likely to get taken from free agency. (Referring to myleague/mygm). I could be wrong though. Maybe he could elaborate some more.

I noticed while editing a draft class that as I raised a guy's Intangibles (say from 30ish to 80+), their Potential automatically ticked up by a point. However, if I then dropped that guy's potential back down, nothing changed with Intangibles.

I don't think much will be said.

It's safe to conclude that it's an OVR modifier to aid AI logic during MyLeague/MyGM.

Re: So... do we know what the new "intangibles" attribute does yet?

I've been saying for years they need to take some of the intangible attributes from nfl 2k5, leadership, aggression, composure, and consistency. Those would inflate the Ovr like this intangibles rating does allowing "locker room" guys to be valued and for them to have an actual effect on the game without over inflating their on court abilities.

Rather than badges representing these things, make them ratings so it affects the Ovr. Rookies would mostly have very low ratings except maybe aggression, allowing them athletic superiority but they would grow over time making their Ovr go up instead of inflating their attributes.

Those ratings would affect teammates on court and in gym/league affect chemistry and morale. For example a high aggression high leadership guy would boost his teammates aggression making them more aggressive on offense attacking the basket more rather than settling for shots and defense making them swipe more or go for more blocks, and consequently risk more fouls, but could conflict with other high aggression guys in chemistry if no one has much composure.

Having guys with leadership boosts awareness and the other intangible ratings of guys to a small extent making everyone better so it makes you ant and value the derrick fishers and Kendrick Perkins without them being "good."
