Custom Search in Play Now Ranked Broken?

It is supposed to match you up against higher tiers than yourself. I choose this option everytime and only matchup against my own tier, except once. Not only that I have played the same team as myself about 75% of the time. Its a bit annoying and doesn't allow multiple win for choosing lower tiers.

boo... so just how it is?

I play as the Knicks, i want the achievement for beating a tier 1 team as a lower tier, but never match up... ive now played about 60 games. Only time I matched vs GS they quit and it didn't count.
