Do Expansion Team Jerseys have throwbacks?
I'm currently using an expansion team I've created myself, and I was wondering if you decide to change the jerseys midway through a season, do your old ones show up as throwback jerseys? I know last year I did it with the Pistons and I lost their original jerseys, was wondering if they might have changed it. I would love to make some alternate jerseys to make my team feel more authentic.Tags: None -

I hope they do. Creating your own team/an expansion has so much potential. It would be a shame if they'd never add the option to create an alternate jersey, christmas jersey etc.Comment

Went with the St Louis Sound and no you can't.
Whats weirdest is the names are under the number though.Comment

From what the devs said, alternate jersey's will not be patched in for 2K17. Davez said it was on the list for things to look into for 2K18, but he made no promises.
The team design upload/download option isn't as neat as having as many alternates as you want, but is quite handy. You can use this for real teams as well, creating an "alternate" set of their uniforms which are actually their current versions, uploading them, then creating a true alternate set that is different/weird. That way you'll always have the original versions to fall back on.
As long as you don't go into the team branding/arena screens (or at least save anything there) you won't lose the arena sounds/audio for the real teams either, just edit the uniforms and upload accordingly.Comment
