Breaks the immersion & realism & authenticity of it all.

It really is a legit annoyance. In one game I was dominating with 15 plus lead & the guy says hustle up everytime. When Im down like 10 he says good effort guys or something. Just totally put you off in a game especially close ones.

But where are the REAL LIFE LEGIT coaches as advertised? I havent seen Kerr or Pop talk to the players.

Yea i am an offline player and i dont do MC i am a play now kinda guy and to me the generic coach is disturbing and intrusive to my nba simulation experience

Uh yeah... I hired Tim Duncan as an assistant coach in MyLeague and it still does the cutscenes with the generic coach voice and Duncan's model with really short arms.

Super annoying.

They can't just patch in voiceovers for every coach in the league overnight. Get real.

The reason they use a generic coach is because they dont have the resources to have every coach in the league give hours of audio.

But the Fake Coach only has like 10 lines that he says. He says the same crap over and over:

You're my Jordan and you're my Pippen
Go Squeeze the Juice
etc. etc.

Justice Young isn't even on my team and he still tells me to Squeeze Juice. If you wanna put a Fake Coach, then he should have 100s of lines... especially if you're going to call it my career - Average NBA career of a star is 15 years.

For the next 15 seasons, he's gonna tell me the same stuff over and over? Nobody cared to consider that?

I swear I hate the fact they have this generic coach in what's supposed to be an authentic NBA game. It makes no sense at all, and people have been calling for the removal of the generic coach since it debuted in 2k16. Just cut it out all together and show cut scenes of the real coaching staff talking without voices. Smh.

Yep, he is terrible...because of the completely wrong contextual comments. They are a real immersion breaker.

It's not just Fake Coach giving immersion breaking lines... it's the announcers, the tnt guys, the cutscenes, everything.

Instead of focusing on MoCap - create more dynamic lines

They had that dark haired one last year. Next year it's going to be a red head.

2k's presentation is going backwards. I hate the direction it's taking. They're bringing back cut scenes....I hate how my guy teleports to get into a group animation.

2k used to be the pioneers for no cut scenes and having real time shots. It seems that every iteration we're going to have a made up assistant coach and crap cut scenes.
