I believe your taking it a little too far here. If it negates badges it nerfs shooting % that's obvious. Like I said in earlier posts stopper will negate any badges used to help with shooting like dimer limitless deadeyes corner specialist ....now rim protector negates badges like drop stepper, posyerizer relentless finisher and all post moves as they are majorly used inside to attack the basket. Both badges give your shot contest and blocking a boost. I don't know what more you want unless your looking for exact numbers which don't exist.

Re: Deciphering Badges: Defensive Stopper and Rim Protector

I have a 6 7 PF/SF LDD and have been looking at when defensive stopper triggers. In MyCareer against the Wizards it triggered when defending Gortat, Morris and Porter but not Beal or Wall. However when playing vs Cavs i was moved to SF and it triggered while defending JR Smith who is an SG/SF who was playing at SF. It could be that it triggers if the position of the player(position the player is at, not necessarily their primary or secondary position)is the same or next to your players position.

EDIT: just did some testing with the Bucks put Giannis at PG even though he is an SF/PF, Gary Payton's defensive stopper badge triggered, same when i put Greg Monroe at PG.

Defensive stopper is perimeter and post lockdown defender in one badge now it seems

I shouldn't have to jump for rim protector to activate. Super annoying that I don't see it at all shots contested at the rim.

Just got moved to SG to guard Middleton, defensive stopper triggered, i suspect similary positioned player means similar to the position u are currently at, it seems to ignore primary/secondary position

Rim protector is simply blocks . It's the eraser badge from the past . That's it. Every block .

Defensive stopper is perimeter and post lockdown defender in one. It'll activate anytime you're guarding somebody with the ball.
