I honestly have seen one shot creator that actually uses the archetype right. I don't think they're underpowered so much as most people don't get what they are supposed to do.

I'll talk about this all year till people catch on, but EveretteWarren on here runs a nasty one.

The key is the ungodly high shoot off dribble, mixed with difficult shots, and dead eye. It allows you to drive, Step back dribble, Sidestep Jumper and cash out. started using tricks like this on my slasher from mid range and it's dumb with bronze difficult shots. I caught a center earlier, Drive baseline, step jumper to the middle. He's running out of bounds, I'm now wide open.

Essentially people run them like a low budget sharpshooter, but they need to think more like Joe Johnson or James Harden.
In all honesty, it's fun to watch. Calling it trickery wouldn't be doing it justice.

That was my first build but I play PG for my team and the speed with the ball doesn't allow me to put pressure on the defense. I still utilize that shot off the dribble though lol. I'm SOOOOO GLAD step backs finally work & shooting off the dribble in general.

It seems that shooting off dribble only kicks in if the last thing you do right before shooting is a normal movement using left stick instead of a dribble move.

Very easy to check this. Say if your shooting off dribble stat is higher than any other open/contested mid/3pt range shooting stats, look at the shooting meter while doing this:

- Stay in mid range or 3pt range, just hold your left stick in any direction and you will see that meter extends.

- In contrast, without using left stick, do any dribble move with right stick, your shooting meter will never extend. Hope gather and step back would not extend it as well.

So shooting off-dribble is actually just shooting off running... Not sure if it is supposed to be this way.

What? I've seen ALOT of them, one dude had a ridiculously unguardable spin jumper. He made all of them, but he froze his teammates out giving us a tiring W.

Im not sure about others but if you put an avg defender on my Shot creator im making mince meat of them.

Its maybe imo the one archetype that you actually have to be knowledgable to use its not just a sharpshooter where you can drill 3s all day or a slasher where you can hope for a lane go up for a dunk
you have to do extra moves to get the shot off i love it because its slightly more for a skilled player than your avg gamer

Thats interesting...so are spin jumpers and hop jumpers instead governed by open/contested mid and 3pt ratings?

Maybe that's why the cpu makes a lot of those stepback 3's with players who have low shot off dribble

Can any sharpshooter do spin jumpers on the mycourt and see if you make them at a rate you shouldn't be making them

Shot creator is very good pnr ball handler, you gotta switch on screen or its automatic fading shot . Also floaters/runners are very powerful with him.

Shot Creators and Slashers are very good in their specific area, but lacking all around game. If you have one on the team he has to be a center of your offense or he's wasted.

They are weird. haha. My friend is more of a pure PG and he made one, and I'm always telling him to jack. He's finally doing it, and he can wet step back 3s in the park.

I don't think they are underpowered as much as counter intuitive. You shouldn't have to do a 'move' if you get free. It's like w/ my post scorer. I could lay it up or I could shoot a hook. Well, shooting a hook is always going to be better. Even if I do a post move to get right to the front of the rim, it's not a 'post move' at the end, it's a lay up.

Same w/ if you sauce someone and get open and pull a shot with a creator, if you do a normal shot, it's not gonna be a good shot.

Once you figure it out tho... I guess it's good.

Midrange Deadeye will help Shot Creator be solid on stationary jumpshots.

I made one during the Prelude but worked on my Playmaker PG when the game officially launched. The Shot Creators I have faced are good all around builds: 3s, middies, moving shots, driving ability + ankles.. it's all there
