What if Badges are the Barrier to Realism?

Has anyone, either this year or prior, ever turned any and all badges off? I'm highly curious about this. What if instead of being an asset to gameplay, they are actually the culprits of many of the cheesy things that happen from time to time?

I mean, do we really need them? Oh and I'm proposing this from a Myleague vantage point.

In my opinion, they make the game more realistic as they allow players to specialize in some things and do certain things better than anyone else.

I just tried turning off all badges with the Warriors and Cavs and the animations looked very choppy for some reason. Maybe this isnt such a good idea.....

it actually makes the game more generic.

the badges used to be ratings, which allowed players to be more than just generically good at something an infact distinguish just how good. literally every non personality badge, and even most of those, can be turned into a rating or tendency, but that doesnt sell VC

like manu and harden had 99's for euro step and so on


as far as turning badges off the game plays just fine but if you go into a myleague/mygm it will be ruined because rookies will come in with badges and players will develop badges during offseasons so it's pointless
