Is nba 2k16 (with all the patches) more playable than 2k17 (out of the box)?

i still haven't bought 2k17 yet because i want to get it until the season starts with a few patches released first, but just reading comments here it seems like the game has so many bugs, in comparison to 2k16, so comparing the latest version of nba 2k16 (with all the patches) vs nba2k17 out of the box, which game is better?

If NBA 2K16 had the shooting and the steal system of 2K17 then NBA 2K16 would be the GOAT. 2K16 is better. overall anyway. No contest.

2k16 park and pro am was better because illegal screen rule.

Also we had ability to check box score, team stats, shot chart after pro am games as well as play for other person's team while having own team as well. They took it out for no reason.

the only thing 2K17 has over 2K16 is the dribbling mechanics, besides that idk how they managed to make me lose interest in the game this fast

I prefer 2K16 defense over 2K17. However, since I am an offline gamer and we have sliders, 2K17 is better.

It's a lot more polished and less buggy. I'd say it's much better. However the potential for 2K17 to be amazing is very, very real. The wait for it to reach said potential, if it in fact actually does, is not fun and to anyone wondering if they should buy 2K17 right now - I'd suggest waiting because if you're coming from 16 you'll almost assuredly be let down in some regard.

My 8 months of modding roster and tweaking sliders plus 2k patches are typically better or the same game as 2k17

Thats every year though.

Everything I had done played like 2k17 minus all the body bumping and fastbreak opportunities.
