Recreating the ABA! But where is the ball?

Finally, this year's NBA2K is making my dream come true by allowing full myLeague customization. I've been working on a bunch of ABA logos/jerseys for my custom league:

    Spoiler

My only question is: Where is the red-white-and-blue ball? Isn't it in every 2K game? The PAYRESPECT code doesn't seem to work and my ABA league just isn't the same without that ball.

Does anyone know if the ABA ball is in this year's game? Thanks!

Sorry. I can't answer your question about the ABA ball, but I am happy are you created ABA logos and jerseys. I plan to create a what if scenario which NBA takes all of the ABA teams. Thank you for your work.

Very cool, that is similar to my plan: What if the ABA won the war? In this scenario, many NBA teams folded in the 70's, and the few that remained were forced into a merger with the ABA.

Most of my ABA/NBA rebrands have an early 80's feel, what the league might look like a few years after an ABA/NBA merger (as opposed to the NBA/ABA merger that really happened).

Well, I see that the "Red White and Blue Ball" and "Beach Ball" are both available in MyTeam, so that's promising. Hopefully there is a code that releases these balls in other game modes.

I also would really like to now if there is a code to unlock with the ABA Ball in other games modes! Always played with it in 2k11.

I don't know about the ball, but I would love to see your designs and everything when it's done !

Sure thing man, here are a few:

I've got 20 or so ABA teams done and ready for myLeague. Maybe now you can see why I want that ball so bad!

Have you or are you going to upload your ABA roster? I love using rosters love like this.

I've uploaded a few already, but I can't upload a bunch because harmless names like "Colonels" and "Conquistadors" don't pass the 2K censor filter. :P

BTW, another designer named toddlud did some of the original ABA designs. I added my own logo scans and rebuilt the unis and arenas but it was his base I started from.

I miss when you could enter the code "payrespect" and unlock the ABA ball.

It was actually a little easier for me to see, which is why I use the custom balls in MyTeam.

I think I misread this question originally. I don't have an authentic ABA roster yet, only the arena/uni designs. I'm thinking of creating one but it seems like it would take forever to build an ABA roster from the ground up, not to mention there would be tons of duplicate players as some of these franchises are actually the same teams, they just moved around a lot (ex: Oakland Oaks > Washington Caps > Virginia Squires). You'd have to do a lot of filling in, even if you covered the entire '67-'76 era.

Have you considered just adding some key ABA players to a current roster.

                        Example
Mel Daniels C , Roger Brown SF to Pacers
                        Willie Wise F to Jazz
Warren Jabali G, Ralph Simpson G, Dan Issel C to Nuggets
James Silas PG, Larry Kenon F to Spurs
Brian Taylor PG, John Williamson G, Billy Paultz C to Nets

                        Thanks,

Yeah, I will probably do exactly that. Artis Gilmore, Louis Dampier, Lavern Jelly Tart, Connie Hawkins... can't run an ABA league without those guys.
