CPU 3/4 court backdoor passes are making game unplayable

Yeah this infuriates me also. I don't really play it now because of annoyances like this.

Anything where I'm being penalized for something out of my control has me not wanting to play.

This is one of the 2K17 issues for me.

Doesn't happen to me as much as the original poster is experiencing. But maybe 3-4 times per game. For me, once is too much.

It's too much for me because it just ruins the immersion...along with the other things it makes the game not even fun (for me).

this happens in the halfcourt as well... paint defense is just absolutely non-existent. big men are all over the place guarding their man off-ball... they need to stay between their man and the basket ffs. good lord this game is a mess.

Yeah defensive positioning/awareness is awful just like 2K16. You can bump def awareness to 100 and there are still silly plays like this. Bumping up the hands slider and the play passing lane tendency seems to make them aware more often so they will deflect some of this crap but it's hard to find a balance.

it is, and 2k16 is actually better than 17 in that aspect. cpu defenders are just completely lost, both on the user and ai side. the game really is unplayable in any type of sim approach.

After an offensive possession, players need more urgency on getting back on defense. More so than players coming down for offense.

And there needs to be emphasis on who a player's assignment is for that possession and keeping between that player and the basket.

Defensive players just seem to put zero emphasis on the importance of keeping their assignment as far away from the basket as possible.....

It sucks because the game is so nice in many other areas and I find myself not wanting to play in fear of losing my cool to this stupid ****.....

I've made a point to look for this in the games I play.

I've seen it once in the last 6 games Ive played. 12 minute quarters.
