Is it me, or is cutting through the paint less physical?

I always try to keep in mind when comparing previous instances to what im experiencing now the possibility that other who own the game may have gotten better, but im not sure that applies here.

When the game first game out and i played pro-am, i remember the turnovers people got when they tried to lead pass to the rim when i was in the way, creating contact with the right stick. Of late however, it seems creating contact off the ball has been unreliable and in the park lead passing to the basket for dunks is more of a strategy.

Anyone else notice this?

I play offline, I have my Driving and Inside contact frequency at 100. On Ball Defense at 70. Incredibly hard to get into the paint.

This is just how I play though, lol

It's not just you. It's the biggest issue I have with the game now. The off-ball physicality is almost non-existent now compared to what it was when the game first launched.

Trying to body up with a defender around the paint feels like trying to rub two magnets together

The patch messed up the defense in the paint. It's non-existent now and this game has turned into a cheese fest.

Trying to find a slider set that makes the game play like basketball is a constant game of whack-a-mole.

Not only is the good game inside 2K a moving target, nothing gets to a point where I can say, "ah, now the game is good."

For a moment I think I have it, and I have a good, fun, challenging, rewarding experience, win or lose. Then the next game I play on that same slider set is littered with just awful game play programming, animations, player actions and AI.

I'm thisclose to giving up. The reality of this game is that it's a user puzzle to try to make the game play well. That's the game! The joke is, there's no solution.

There's a lot riding on patch 1.05 for 2K, at least for me.

I hate to say all this because I do a lot around here to try to help people with the game. There are great things inside this game, but it's not even a good game with all the things getting in the way of the potentially great stuff.

I'm not angry. Just really disappointed.

I use the LT/L2 a lot. That triggers lots of body up animations.
