What's up with the shooting this year?

I've been playing 2k since forever and never really had a hard time shooting. It seems in this years version, everyone release is really quick. I'm used to pulling the stick down until the peak of the jump then releasing. No matter who I use my shot release is always late. I've tried practice and everything. The shot stick is horrible this year or maybe it's me.

No sir, it's definitely not you. I experience this a lot too and im not sure why it's like this. It's better in Park and Proam but every other game mode outside of thathe, every release is quick for some reason.
