    Quick Reference Badge Guide

I wrote this up for a buddy and figured I would share. It does not get deep into detail but is a nice quick reference. Hope it helps! I would argue (heavily), that getting all of the most impactful badges is more important than getting your player to 95 overall. Most archtypes can max (or close to it) each of their primary categories without unlocking any additional attribute points. The badges, to different degrees are a significant upgrade to your performance, more so than a few points in a non-primary attribute. All of these are most easily achieved on Rookie with a couple exceptions. If you are serious about badging and leveling your guy up, you need laser like focus. You cannot care about winning, stats, etc. Every action you take on either end of the court should be something that either applies to a badge you want, or is leading you to that.

Ranking these on a scale from 1-10. 10 is super important badge, 1 is who gives a crap. This is obviously without your archtype taken into consideration (I was a stretch big) and just a general rank. I did not include a couple of badges like Dream up and Under. Also, ignored blue badges.

    "Quick" Badges

Acrobat (9)- Take 50 Euro Step Layups. When going to basket, stop holding turbo and double tap Square.
Break Starter (8) - 50 passes to a guy beyond half court after a rebound. Just get rebound and wait for one guy to get past half court and pass to him.
Brick wall and Bruiser (6)- Both gotten by just setting screens, I think about 100-150 for both.
Catch and Shoot (10)- 100 baskets off a catch/no dribble.
Corner Specialist (10) - Make 25 3's from the corner.
Flashy Passer (2)- 50 flashy passes (I did this in like 1 quarter) - Double tap Circle.
Limitless Range (10)- 50 made shots from a couple steps behind 3 point line
One Man Fast Break (8)- Score on the fast break 75 times. I do not "work" toward this, it just happens.
Pick and Roll Maestro (8)- Call for Screen (L1) 100 times. You do not have to use the screen or do anything else, just call for it
Pick Pocket (10)- 50 "Poke Ball away". Easy.
Post Spin Technician (3) - Go into post (L2) and perform a spin out of it. You do not even need to shoot, it counts. I believe it is about 50 times required.

    "Slightly longer" but still quick-ish

Deep Range Deadeye (10) - Take 100 3's with a hand in your face. Much quicker than last year.
Difficult shots (10)- 100-200 shots off dribble. I did mid-range type. Moving or pull-up shots.
Drop Stepper (3) - Attempt 50 drop step moves, do not think it matters if it goes in. Hold L2 to be in post, Left stick toward basket and tap square.
Lob city finisher (5) - Easiest way to do this is to self alley-oop after a steal and break, 15 times.
Lob City passer (5) - Pass for 50 alley-oops. Self ones do not appear to count. Easiest way I found was to call for screen and let screener go to basket.
Pick and Popper (4)- Set screen, roll away and call for pass. Catch and shoot quick, like 200 times.
Pick Dodger (4) - This one is tough, you cannot force it. No idea how many are needed. Run through screens that are set. Pretty sure you have to get the full "run into screener" animation for it to count.
Tear Dropper (1)- 50 made floaters - No turbo, headed toward basket and hold down on right stick.

Longer Badges - 5-15 games at least

Ankle Breaker (3) - Double move (crossover, behind back, whatever). Do it twice, then pass for an assist. You're looking for "double move leading to score" 200 times.
Charge Card (1)– I have never chased this badge because, who cares. It is worth noting because it is a gold badge for LDD. Best way to get a charge I found was to try to take charge around halfcourt on the opponents fast break. Get the PG to bang into you. Only have to draw 7.
Chase down artist (6) – Says 25 chase down blocks. Have to cross half court, hold LT and aim backwards. Double tap Triangle for alley-oop. Ball goes wrong direction. Wait for other team to grab it, then chase him for the block. Took me 4, but not sure if I got “credit” for other blocks during season.
Defensive Stopper – (10) – 50 Good shot D and 25-30 Good Transition D. Easiest way to cheese Good transition D is to throw an errant alley-oop from just beyond half court. Wait until other team steals and then turn around and be first to get back down court.
    Dimer (9) - 300 Assists.
Hustle Rebounder (1) - 250-300 offensive rebounds and about 80 offensive. This was the hardest badge in the game, as my big guy. If you really want it, best way I found was to play on Superstar and try to get position and then force Justice to shoot. Really difficult badge in my opinion.
Mid Range Deadeye (10) - 150-200 midrange shots contested. This takes a while.
Posterizor (6) - 25 "contact" dunks. Good luck!
Putback King (1) - 50 offensive rebounds and putbacks. Tough one for non-inside players. Got it on my Stretch while chasing hustle rebounder though.
Relentless Finisher (7) – A bunch of contact layups, says 75 but seemed like more. Just go to the hole and lay it up in traffic.
Rim Protector (3) - 80 blocks in a season. Have fun. Can cheese using Chase down method.
Tireless scorer (7) - Some debate on this, I got it using a combo of both suggested methods. I turboed around until my energy was blinking, then took a moving shot. Takes a while. Developers suggest it is only moving shots, pull-ups, etc. I cannot confirm but I know it is slow.

Last but not least. Here is a list of the badges that are easily worked on at the same time. Likely others, feel free to add to this.

    1. Limitless Range, Deep-Range Deadeye and Catch-Shoot. Self explanitory really, but I take deep threes, off the catch, with a defender close. Debatable if this is efficient but how I did it.
    2. Ankle Breaker, Dimer, Pick and Roll Maestro and Lob City Passer – Double move, call screen, alley-oop to screener. 4 for 1!
    3. Difficult Shots, Mid-Range Deadeye, Tireless Scorer – Pull-up/moving shots from mid-range with hand in your face.

You can hold turbo if you want when going through screens to activate pick dodger.

Yeah, I know the rankings are not perfect. It was basically what I prioritized when I was getting them. Rim protector for instance is an awesome badge but was not as important for me to get quickly. I want to get basically every badge, the priority just changes based on your player type and style of your game.

Good to know, I will update! This is one of the few badges I have not gotten yet. I was hoping people would point out any flaws, or changes I need to make in order to make the guide better.

Defensive stopper is 150 good contests for HOF. You only need 50 for bronze. I have on 3 characters.

I got HOF Defensive stopper with only 80-100 good shot contests. I'd say roughly 20-40 GTD.

Anyone have an explanation for each bronze badge's ability? For instance, how much more adept will my player be at completing dunks with the bronze posterizer badge?
