What's the point of being a Playmaker...

If I keep getting getting ripped on Pro Am like I'm a Center... I dribble the ball up the court and they just straight take my cookie like come on 2K help me out here

I dont understand it at all. Even with the boost to get your ball handling up to 99 I still get ripped easily what's the deal?

So y'all nerf our speed and ankle breaking and now I'm getting ripped easily.

Playmakers aren't nerfed, you just have to start shooting off picks

That works in Pro-am too, there are several playmakers shooting 60-70% from three on 10 attempts game. It wasn't patched either.

Depends if you're dribbling in front of a person's face and spamming the same dribble combos. I'ma strip you with the R-Stick steal if I know your pattern.

If you have low strength and make contact with someone with a higher strength rating you can lose the ball easily, especially if the defender has defensive stopper and pick pocket.

Also wide shoulders and long arms combined with some dribble move animations will make you dribble the ball farther away from your body which will get ripped easily. Longer arms and shortest shoulder width will have you dribbling low to the ground and not as far away from your players body.

            They are

Ankle Breakers badge isn't nearly as effective and speed is a non factor on fast breaks and driving to the rim. We don't look like the best ball handlers on the court when we should be.

In ProAm you need to be holding L2 (ps4) to protect the ball if you are standing still waiting for the offense to setup. Also you won't have to stand still while doing this, you can hold L2 to protect the ball and still move around.

Exactly. I'd even suggest watching some CP3 on youtube and see he how avoids getting picked.

I'm a Point Forward (good for Dribbling + Passing) and I don't get ripped unless I am too focused on looking for a pass or not protecting the ball.

Maybe you're doing too much dribbling with the Right stick? I'd use that sparingly, since the Left Stick will actually give you some nice dribble moves due to your high rating.

                  They haven't nerfed it.

Make sure you are protecting the ball. Use a LT some to protect it; but also it is as simple as real life, keep the ball in the hand away from the guy guarding you.

You just lucky your defender aint a steal spammer The instant you do this simple cross in proam your defender can spam 2, 3 times the right stick steal and you get stuck in a pickup animation doubleteamed or loose the ball Big mens can strip you the ball like CP3 just because of bronze pickpocket badge

I know how to protect the ball but doubleteam, bumping and spam steals are rewarded way too much

One thing I forgot is the kick ball violation is rarely called. If you dribble off the defender's foot, you will lose the ball and usually fall to the ground. Actually I'm not sure if that would be a kick ball violation since it wouldn't be considered intentional, but it does seem to happen too much.

Have you played as a center lol? You wouldn't even be able to attempt to bring the ball up without being stripped..
