These 2 changes will create fast breaks and eliminate the force field effect

Hey guys ,after going back and forth with different sliders and different game speeds , I came up with a game speed of 46. I use default HOF settings and I change just 2 sliders .
The first slider is on the human side. I raise acceleration to 55. In my testing acceleration has to be higher than speed. This will result in better dribbling and branching animations. 55 to 50 is the best ratio I have found with the 46 game speed.
On the CPU side, lower acceleration and speed to 25. The difference in those two will allow for your players to get out into fast breaks and move by defenders instead of being in that force field effect. The difference in these sliders does not mean that you will blow by the CPU .The difference is just enough to create a more natural feeling to player movement, driving and defending.

I only adjusted these sliders because I also found out that when some sliders are raised or lowered the player movement changes.

Try this approach and let me know

Dang, is the CPU hidden boosts that large

I prefer to play on speeds above 50 but I feel it intensifies the problem by creating even quicker CPU reactions. I been considering try a below 50 speed in My Career. I'll try 46.

you have to run at the edges of the court on a fast break, to make the defenders not catch up

Hmm this works pretty good, though the CPU still beats me as i'm not great on HOF anyway, but, i've gotten some decent breaks out of it. I may increase the CPU speed a bit if i consistently see fast CPU players on their breaks be slow. I like it though. It works for me at least.

I also like the defensive animations with this setup it seems now you can chase down blocks better and collisions and driving animations seem more natural because you now have that boost that is automatically given to the CPU . Plus, guys like Lebron and Kyrie can actually use thier speed to beet one one defenders and not have that forcefield .

How does this affect the cpu, can/do they get fastbreaks?

CPU has fast breaks because thier animations trigger faster especially on HOF.

Fast breaks are poorly done. The speed boost are ridiculous. This is one of the main reasons I haven't enjoyed this game compared to years past. Thanks for this. I may try it, but I shouldn't have to adjust sliders to get good fast break logic.
