XBOX One Elite controller button mapping 2k17

    Button map 2k

    Original/remapped:
    LB/B
    RB/Y
    Left on dpad/RS click
    ------------------------
    Upper left paddle=LB
    Upper right paddle=RB
    Lower right paddle =A

I picked up the Xbox one Elite controller awhile back and recently have been trying it out on 2k. I typically use the controller for Gears and rainbow six, but 2k this year has been pretty boring, so I tried this controller to spice it up. I'm putting it out to get your thoughts on my settings and also reasoning behind my button setup.
First off, the controller is an impressive piece of equipment, but I'm not going to go in to all that it can do. The controller does not necessarily give you an advantage or a cheat; it simply gives you more flexibility and customization to how you want to play. In 2k, I feel I have more control over play calling and defense because of the way I map it. It gets a bit overwhelming at times with all the different buttons, but I think with practice someone could be really good with it. It has a very steep learning curve, but makes the game more enjoyable.

I shoot with stick always. I set up to never take my thumb off RS, only when I call a play for SF or X button or sometimes I do it when I icon pass. I also don't map the lower left paddle. It's too much and my left pinky is mangled anyway.

Offense: I use LB and RB mapped on the upper two paddles. This gives me the ability to control my player when calling a play.. I also map ⬅️dpad to RS click to set up freelances and so forth. I don't map LS click because I've accidentally hit it when I'm driving. I map Y button to RB for skip passes and it is much more efficient this way, since I'm using turbo RT, my finger will move slightly up to RB. Also manual cuts are easier to target and slightly quicker when mapped to RB. I map B to LB. I don't use it much and usually have to anticipate before I will actually bounce pass or flashy. Not something I usually do by reacting with this controller setup. I use the icon pass a lot and mapping it on the paddle is best I think. I do the directional pass a lot with the RS and RB.

Defense: I've found the controller is really beneficial for defense. Somewhat difficult to explain, but my setup with Y mapped to RB and A mapped to Right lower paddle; i can switch players and hold LT and RT and still have thumb always on RS to steal/deny then hit RB to block/rebound. It feels nice. Like I'm actually playing defense. That being said..I don't necessarily have advantage over someone online. The controller is far from a cheat if you're thinking that. . Online is more about how to effectively NOT play defense and somehow reign in your opponent's zigzag of the 3 arc and bumping into your AI to leave someone wide open...Offline it's pretty fun to play D with.

I tried to upload a pic of the map...not sure if it works.

I mapped RB to sprint and shot with RT for a little bit. Wasn't too bad. The controller is pretty nuts...you can map anything on it.

I would like your thoughts on my settings or what others that have the controller set it up as. It's fun to play around with.

Interesting, problem is I'm so used to 2k controls. But I did map my RB to the right ring finger paddle so I can bring up my icons while sprinting. There's no turning back now have to have the paddle. I only have that one paddle on tho

Anyone using an Elite Controller for 2k18 and can share some good button mappings that would help a complete noob to this game? I used to play 2k a lot with a friend but haven't played in a very long time and have no idea how to call plays yet or get people open on offense. Trying to relearn everything all over again and just got a the controller, a project scorpio xb1x, and my new LG OLED65B1A all hooked up. Christmas came early lol...thanks for anyone help anyone can provide.
