This video is sad. Post plays with cutters are OP. You can run an unstoppable offense with Omer Asik facilitating. What you think about this Dirk and Sam? Asik has Sub 30 passing ratings.

If the AI cant defend these plays they should be removed from the game.

You can see all the fundamental flaws the AI has to let Asik achieve that non sense. The player who guards the cutter plays it wrong, Asik's defender never has his hands up and never backs off even a little, the cutter is too strong, Rodman never does any show and recover to deter cuts, and the passes are perfect for a dude who can't pass IRL. The defense does not defend the paint as a unit and before anyone cries "money plays" that really isn't the case, you can get the exact same cuts in a 3-2 or triangle freelance. Plays or freelance it doesn't matter post cuts are OP because the defense does it ALL WRONG. Like is wrong on every level almost, I mean if it wasn't how could Asik get 22 assists in a half against the 1990 Bulls LOL

That was the point of the video. People wanted to say that your Rondo experiment was a money play or hard to replicate. When in fact the post cutter effectiveness is a legacy issue that takes no skill to pull off.

Well yeah but it's the same concept. Clearly the AI does not deal with manual cuts or give and goes. It's obviously an area for improvement.

From my playing the base of the AI foundation is dealing with predictable stuff. Plays, freelances etc. I'd expect them to layer in AI that deals with this soon. I find it doesnt deal well with going off script. I've found similar with going the other side of a screen.

But at least IRL New Orleans know they can build around Asik once Davis leaves.

Its why i've been harping on AI defenders for some time....that was the 96' Bulls for crying out loud! Pass ratings also simply have to matter more, that Asik did that adds insult to injury.

Pass ratings dont seem to matter on give and goes, and manual cuts.

They matter somewhat in other situations, but not enough.
