Smoove has a playmaker so watching his series might help. My main career is a 6'6 230lb slasher, so the way I destroy the cpu is completely different to a playmaker. If I had your guy, I'd score points early to get the double teams flowing then pick off the open shooters. I'd also run a lot of pick and roll because of the way the cpu defends it.

To utilise a playmakers speed with ball, I'd also experiment with the double screen plays such as (I think) Fist B1 etc to get yourself loads of open paths to the basket.

The cpu runs the same screen plays over and over, so if you want steals you're better with interceptions following the plays and getting them at the top of the 3pt arc.

The defensive AI is pretty awful no matter what difficulty/sliders you use. It can be improved somewhat but takes a ton of editing. Nothing default is a realistic experience, but I guess that's all sports games. To each his own I guess.

Did something change with the HOF sliders recently?

I've been playing it on MyLeague for the past 3 seasons and it's been fine. But recently in my 4th year, I've noticed a big drop in 3P% and FT%. For the first 3 seasons I was shooting around 35-40% from 3PT but this season I'm at 27% with a similar roster. I also noticed there appears to be some kind of "catch up" system taking effect. For example, I'd be up by 15+ points then my team will simply stop making shots, CPU takes and makes tough shots, CPU outrebounding me and grabbing the offensive boards, etc.

The issue is where they bring the double team from a lot of the times Mate. 90% of the time the CPU is double teaming or helping one pass away. That's how players who have an issue with the CPU double teams are getting 17+ assist with players who aren't even true facilitators.
