Simulating the first season

How come when you simulate the first season, some teams are good no matter what and other are not. Ex Minnesota always makes the playoffs, Boston always finished with a losing record and charlotte is always the worst team in the league. This is in mygm

Same for me. i don't get why boston always finishes with a losing record

In my first season Boston finished 36-46, Minnesota missed the playoffs (also at 36-46) and Charlotte finished with the 3rd worst record at 30-52, ahead of Sacramento and Washington. This was myleague

this issue pisses me off. it wasnt like that at release, but now certain teams just suck or are great no matter what even with a custom roster. i think it was from one of the last 2 patches

for example, on my roster the celtics are #5 in team overall but winning 30 games is a miracle in simulation

This has not been the case for me at all. I have two different mygms going and I always sim the first season. Who made the playoffs varied greatly. In one the Raptors won the title and the other no joke, was between the 76ers and SA and 76ers won the championship.

that is exactly the problem...

i just did a no injury/no trade sim with 2k's roster and the celtics had the worst record..i cant even

This is why at the start of the season, you trade for the Celtics pick (from the Nets)

Trade for the Heat's pick

and Trade for the Suns/Mavs pick

Wonder if it has to do with point of emphasis ?
